Hot-Rolled Pickle & Oiled (HRPO)

Hot-Rolled Pickled & Oiled (HRPO) is hot-rolled steel that is sent through a series of hydrochloric baths that removes scale, rust, and unwanted debris. The coil is then lightly oiled for temporary rust prevention.

The surface of HRPO is still subject to a rough and unfinished texture and is best suited for unexposed and paintable applications. HRPO is also used for structural parts where strength is a requirement and can be used as a cost-saving alternative to galvannealed.
